Rope is made by twisting a number of fibers. Rope was one of the main tools on a farm 100+ years ago. Farmers used rope to corral animals, along with leading them for work. Rope was used to hold equipment in place, tow equipment to work areas, and to lift heavy weights/objects to work areas. Today rope/fiber is used in many different ways as a part of STEM activities and in today’s world. By twisting and weaving small ropes/fibers into larger, stronger ropes/fibers, more difficult/intricate work can be accomplished on the farm (and in life!)
